West Virginia District Pentecostal Church of God

Bishop Gregory Hatfield serves as the District Bishop of the West Virginia District of the Pentecostal Church of God, a position he has held for the past 14 years. He came to know Christ in 1997 and has served as an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Church of God for more than 27 years.

Throughout his years of ministry, Bishop Hatfield has served the West Virginia District in several leadership capacities, including Sectional Presbyter, District Presbyter, and District Bishop. His many years of service reflect a continued commitment to the work of the Lord and to providing leadership within the churches and ministries of the West Virginia District.

Bishop Hatfield is married and is blessed with a growing family that includes four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pastor Herman Freeman serves as the West Virginia District Presbyter and as pastor of Dawes PCG. Ordained with the Pentecostal Church of God in 1976, he has devoted more than four decades to pastoral ministry and faithful service to the Church.

Pastor Freeman also served six years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and has worked with the Kanawha County Schools Transportation Department. He and his wife, Ramona, have been married for 54 years and are the parents of two children, Matt and Leslie.

Through many years of ministry, Pastor Freeman has remained committed to serving the Lord and His people, providing experienced leadership both within the local church and throughout the West Virginia District.

Pastor Jason Perdue serves as the District Youth Director, Southern Sectional Presbyter, and District Secretary for the West Virginia District. He also serves as pastor of Rock View Pentecostal Tabernacle in Pineville, West Virginia.

Pastor Perdue and his wife, Kayla, have been married for 16 years and are blessed with two sons and two grandchildren. Together, they have shared in the blessings of family and ministry as they serve the Lord.

At the heart of Pastor Perdue’s ministry is a desire to remain in the will of God, faithfully follow His leading, and serve wherever God calls him. He has a heart to see lives changed, families strengthened, and people drawn into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

Pastor Susan Spencer

Pastor Susan Spencer serves as the Northern Sectional Presbyter of the West Virginia District and as pastor of Tyler River of Life PCG. She has been involved in ministry since her teenage years and was ordained with the Pentecostal Church of God in 1995 in Rupert, West Virginia.

Throughout her years of ministry, Pastor Spencer has served the Lord in a variety of capacities, including youth ministry, pastoral ministry, Women’s Ministry leadership, teaching within the church, and nursing home ministry. Her many years of faithful service reflect a continued commitment to sharing God’s Word, serving His people, and advancing the work of the Church.

Pastor John Means serves as the Central Sectional Presbyter of the West Virginia District and has faithfully served in Christian ministry for more than three decades. Called into ministry in 1991, he has served as a pastor, evangelist, worship leader, and in numerous leadership roles throughout the Pentecostal Church of God.

Throughout his ministry, Pastor Means has served the West Virginia District in several leadership capacities, including District Bishop and District Youth Director, as well as serving the Pentecostal Church of God as Assistant General. During his time as District Youth Director, he helped grow youth ministry and camp participation from just 17 young people to more than 300.

Pastor Means has also served as Senior Pastor of Newlife Church in Elkins, West Virginia, where his responsibilities included preaching, teaching, discipleship, worship, outreach, and ministry development. His ministry experience also includes evangelistic work, revivals, camp meetings, worship ministry, Christian education, and the development and mentoring of ministry leaders.

A graduate of Life Christian University with a degree in Theology, Pastor Means remains committed to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, encouraging and equipping believers, developing leaders, and strengthening the local church.
